Handbook on Cross-Border Energy Communities

Cross-border cooperation is at the heart of European integration. Many policy areas need action to achieve better coordination and integration. To enhance this in the field of energy policies, DG Regio has awarded a consortium led by Spatial Foresight the drafting of a 'Handbook on Cross-Border Energy Communities'. Together with Eurac and EureConsult, we will map obstacles for such communities, national enabling frameworks and existing communities and good practices. These insights will feed into a handbook to further support cross-border integration in the field of energy generation and provision, prosumerism, distribution, cross-border markets, mobility and other related services.
